Patrick K. Dunphy
Biography
Pat was born and raised in New England and attended college in Vermont. While studying abroad for his junior year he met his wife, Marylee Reisinger, a Dayton native and graduate of Alter High School and the Ohio State University.
Pat came to Ohio for law school where he has remained. Pat and Marylee have three children.
Pat considers himself a trial lawyer. He is a former prosecutor and insurance defense attorney. He has tried civil cases to jury in Champaign, Clark, Darke, Greene, Hamilton, Miami, Montgomery, Preble and Warren counties and represented parties in civil lawsuits in Butler, Franklin, Logan, Madison, and Shelby counties.
He has appeared on behalf of clients in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Ohio in Dayton, Cincinnati and Columbus. He has argued in the Court of Appeals of Ohio for the First, Second, Tenth and Twelfth Districts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit, and the Ohio Supreme Court. He has tried cases to jury involving wrongful death and catastrophic personal injury.
For many years Pat represented property and casualty insurers and their policyholders in civil lawsuits. He represents both plaintiffs and defendants in litigation. He also handles probate estates, trusts and wills for his clients. This is his 20th year of membership in Falke & Dunphy, LLC.
